Regenera activa
Regenera Activa is a treatment for Androgenetic Alopecia (male and female pattern hair loss).
This treatment promotes the production of new hair follicles, thereby increasing hair density and thickness and treats hair loss.
Results:
Less hair loss, thicker, healthier and more dense hair.
How it is done:
A small patch of hair (around 2 cm in diameter) is shaved from the back of the scalp. It is numbed, and then 4 samples of skin with hair follicles are extracted from the area, and these are then placed with normal saline in a special cone.
The shaved area will have 3 to 5 small wounds where the skin sample was collected, these wounds will be covered in a bandaid for 2 to 3 days after the treatment. The skin in these areas heals normally after a few days and the hair will grow back in the shaved spot after a few days.
How it works:
The samples of skin with hair are inserted in the special cone (RegeneraCon), normal saline is added, the cone is inserted in the Regenera Activa machine which extracts the Progenitor cells (the cell that is closest to the stem cell), these cells (in a fluid) are injected in the scalp.
Sessions:
One session.
Can be repeated if needed after 2 years.
Pain tolerance:
Minimal pain.
Target areas:
Scalp hair, especially the front of the scalp (the areas of the scalp that are affected by Androgenetic Alopecia).
Duration of treatment:
45 minutes (plus 30 minutes for the anesthesia cream: optional).
Downtime:
No downtime, the patient is usually advised to avoid washing the hair for the next 48 hours, avoid swimming for one week, avoid dying the hair for one week, and avoid any hair treatments for one month after the treatment.
Who cannot do the treatment:
Active infection in the scalp.
How long before an event should i do the treatment:
Ideally 48 to 72 hours before the event, because the area of the samples will have a bandaid for at least 2 days after the treatment.
